As some people know I'm the Glorious President behind Turbojugend Aotearoa U-666. This is essentially a fanclub dedicated to Norwegian deathpunk band, Turbonegro.

I am proud to announce that DeathPunkFest will be happening at Bar Mode in Palmerston North on Saturday 2 June 2007. That's during Queen's Birthday weekend here in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Our beloved Black Chrome will be playing of course, as will New Plymouth's Horror Story, PNHCs Wall of Silents, Wellington's Sick66 and Waikato's Dick Dynamite & the Doppelgangers. There will also be some DJs. I promise I'll be bringing the DEATH or at least something better than emo.
The poster was created using a collage of pictures I drew. It's meant to be a Punk Rock Hula Girl (for that injoke you have to see the MAKOS) riding along on a big shiny black U-boat. Shiny black like Darth Vader, or a fetishized sausage. For the drawings I used Faber Castell art pens and a gigantic sharpie. The splatter effects and text were added later. I used some brushes avaliable for free download at Stuntkid's site. Props to him for making invaluable tools freely avaliable!
